LMR Horticultural Farms is, above all, a family story, driven by a passion for agriculture. We have always carefully cultivated quality vegetables to feed people here and abroad. Driven by a thirst for learning and innovation, we continually refine our methods and enrich our expertise to offer the best of our land.
The initial idea
The farm's origins stem from a dream: a life in the countryside after their career. Driven by this shared vision, Pierre Mercille, Denise Boivin, Louis Roy, and Claudette Laprise joined forces to make it a reality. Their primary ambition? To grow asparagus in Quebec.

The beginnings
Les Fermes Horticoles LMR was founded in 1989. The arrival of Stéphane Roy and Suzanne Mercille within the company marked a decisive turning point, allowing it to take off.

We think big!
After years of dedication and hard work, the efforts paid off. With a growing business, it was time to think bigger. As a result, operations were moved to a brand-new warehouse at 1198 Rang Lépine.

Well-deserved recognition
In 2013, we won the bronze medal from the Quebec government's National Order of Agricultural Merit (ONMA), followed by the silver medal in 2018. This prestigious distinction recognizes the expertise, innovation, and influence of agricultural businesses. It is one of the highest distinctions awarded to entrepreneurs in the sector.
A family succession, finally!
After several years in completely different fields, Véronique and Jeanne Mercille Roy decided to take their first steps in agriculture. Thanks to their diverse professional experiences and shared knowledge of the agricultural world, Les Fermes Horticoles LMR is well positioned to pursue its mission: growing quality vegetables for generations to come.

Fifteen years after our move to larger facilities, expansion has once again become a necessity. With our increased vegetable production, we need to expand our refrigerated facilities to meet demand and ensure the freshness of our products.
